About Victor Steven Rosenberg
Fifty-three years since starting Cornish School of Fine Arts in Seattle, WA as a 27-year-old veteran on the GI Bill. Through art have I attained financial abundance? No. Through art is my name recognized through-out the world? No. Do I regret this journey of 2 dimensional surfaces and media? No. At the time I enrolled in art school, I was on my way to financial abundance as a young, successful businessman. So what? Art has enriched my life and been a catalyst for an inner life that money could never buy. Making art has led me to the worlds of poetry, invention (i.e., patents), and ministry. There were years of struggle, financially. But those years of having to give blood plasma to keep food in my belly and a rough roof over my head were some of the best years. Art has led me to be a spiritual anthropologist; to knowing that art and the making of art is not in itself the truth, nor the way, nor the life. It has instead led me to the way, the truth, and the life.
